Motorcycle driver dead in collision with Army vehicle

ILIGAN CITY—A motorcycle rider died when the motorcycle he was driving swerved and slammed onto an Army vehicle in Barangay Linangkayan in Naawan, Misamis Oriental around 4 p.m. Monday, the police said Tuesday.

The motorcycle driver was identified as Roland Eyana Cabiladas, a resident of sitio Carbide in Barangay Tubod here, while the Army vehicle belonged to the 11th Forward Support Services Unit of the Army Support Command based in Camp Panacan in Davao City.

The Naawan police said Cabiladas was on his way to this city while the Army vehicle and two other vehicles were in convoy for Cagayan de Oro City after delivering supplies for troops in Marawi City when the road mishap took place.
