The president of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Alumni Association Inc. (AAI) has confirmed to INQUIRER.net that an emergency meeting will be held on Tuesday night to discuss concerns happened during the Grand Alumni Homecoming.
Henry Tenedero, UST AAI president, said in a text message that the private meeting with the board will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
However, Tenedero didn’t go into details when asked if the focus of the meeting would be the conferment of government service award to Assistant Secretary Margaux “Mocha” Uson.
“Many concerns will be tackled,” he told INQUIRER.net
The USTAAI will then prepare a new statement after the conference, Tenedero said.
On Monday, Tenedero said the board would have to discuss first on whether to recall or stay Uson’s award.
“I cannot decide on my own. What I’m planning is to check on their schedule and I will convene an emergency meeting to invite also ‘yung mga nagfi-feedback sa social media [those who are actively sending feedbacks on social media],” Tenedero replied when asked if the USTAAI would answer the call of the different university organizations to revoke the award. /jpv
