Clouds, isolated rain on Monday

The northeast monsoon (amihan) and easterlies are the dominant weather systems affecting the country, the state weather bureau said Monday.

Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and the Davao Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms due to easterlies, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

Batanes and Babuyan Group of Islands will have cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers brought by the northeast monsoon.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies are expected over Metro Manila and the rest of the country from localized thunderstorms. /cbb
