Cops bust ‘notorious’ drug pusher in Lucena
LUCENA CITY – Following the revival of the police campaign against illegal drugs, a supposed notorious illegal drugs peddler was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Lucena City, police reported on Saturday.
Quezon police chief Sr. Supt. Rhoderick Armamento said operatives from their drug enforcement unit collared Julius Ibañez, 21, after he sold “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) to an undercover policeman around 11:15 p.m. Friday in Barangay (village) Cotta.
Police seized from the suspect six small plastic sachets of shabu, weighing around 4.68 grams and valued at nearly P8,700.
Police said Ibañez is one of the few remaining notorious drug pushers in the village. /kga
