Newly trained Quezon SWAT team gets gadgets from governor
LUCENA CITY—At least 27 newly trained members of Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team had been activated as part of the Quezon provincial police force.
Senior Supt. Rhoderick Armamento, Quezon province police chief, said the first SWAT team of the provincial police office just finished a 45-day training program.
The SWAT team, said Armamento, would serve as “tip of the spear” in the war on crimes in the province. At graduation ceremonies for the SWAT members, equipment donated by Gov. David Suarez were presented. These included a SWAT van, motorcycles, sniper rifles, bulletproof vests, laptops and other gadgets. —DELFIN T. MALLARI JR.
