BJMP calls for speedy probe into Muntinlupa shootout

The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) called for faster investigation into the Muntinlupa shootout case on Thursday that killed two of its personnel.

“Nawa ay matapos nila ito sa mas lalong madaling panahon upang mabigyan ng hustisya ang pagkamatay ng dalawa naming kasamahan,” BJMP said in a statement.

(We hope they finish it immediately so that we can give justice to the deaths of our colleagues.)

The agency then expressed condolences to the bereaved families of Jail Officer1 Felino Salazar & JO2 Elmer Malibdao after they were killed during the shootout that happened along Tunasan, Muntinlupa around 8:30 a.m.

Salazar and Malibdao were later declared dead at the Medical Center in Muntinlupa.

“Nakikiramay po ang buong ahensya sa pamilya ng dalawa sa aming kasamahan na nasawi ngayong umaga sa Lungsod ng Muntinlupa,” BJMP said.

(The whole agency condoles with the families of the two men who were killed in Muntinlupa.)

“Nakikipagugnayan na po kami sa kanilang mga pamilya upang kagyat na makapaghatid ng kinakailangan tulong,” it added.

(We are coordinating with their families so that we can immediately send needed help.)

Two other fatalities, whose identities have yet to be identified, were also reported and tagged as suspects of the incident. /je
