2 men yield drugs, stolen motorcycles in Quezon

LUCENA CITY – Police arrested two suspected drug pushers and seized 16 sachets of alleged “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in Sariaya town in Quezon province early Thursday.

Supt. Rodrigo Soriano, Sariaya police chief, said Elpidio Malarasta and Mark Rainer Opeña were collared in a buy-bust operation in Barangay (village) Concepcion Pinagbakuran about 4:15 a.m.

Police seized from the duo 16 small plastic sachets of shabu, cash, and assorted drug sniffing paraphernalia.

Lawmen also recovered an unlicensed .38 caliber revolver and three motorcycles from the suspects. Police alleged that the motorcycles were all stolen. /cbb
