THE PETRON Blaze Boosters for a fourth straight victory when they lock horns with the unpredictable Barako Bull Energy today in the first game of the 37th PBA Philippine Cup at the Araneta Coliseum.

After succumbing to three straight losses, the Boosters went on a tear by winning their last three, capped by an impressive 90-80 win over the former league-leaders Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.

The string of victories moved the Boosters to solo third place with six wins and three losses. The Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters lead the standings with a 7-1 (win-loss) record followed by the Painters with 7-2.

Barako Bull is fourth place with a 5-3 slate. The Energy are coming from an 81-93 loss to Rain or Shine.

The Powerade Tigers and the Alaska Aces face off in the main game with the two squads looking to end their woes.  EDITORIAL ASSISTANT CALVIN D. CORDOVA
