Bohol collision kills dad, hurts baby, nanny

TAGBILARAN CITY — A man was killed while his 10-month-old baby and its nanny were hurt in a head-on collision between a car and a passenger bus in Jagna town, Bohol, Monday night.

Bunny Enoc was killed when the Kia car he was driving smashed into a Southern Star Bus past 6 p.m.

Bus driver Vicente Salas was detained pending the filing of appropriate charges against him.

Traffic investigator SPO1 Van Balabat, of the Jagna police station, told the Inquirer that Enoc was with his baby and the child’s nanny, Venus Maures, while heading home to Barangay Looc in Jagna when the accident happened.

A witness told police that the car of Enoc drifted onto the opposite lane while navigating a winding road in Barangay Larapan and collided with the bus which was headed to Ubay town.

Enoc and his baby were rushed by responders to Tagbilaran City, while Maures who had bruises on her forehead was brought to Congressman Teodoro B. Galagar Memorial Hospital in Jagna.

According to Jagna Councilor Anthony Aniscal, Enoc died in the hospital, while the infant was in stable condition.

Balabat said no one was reported hurt among the passengers of the bus. /cbb
