Deadline for fuel cards: Nov. 30

Franchise holders of public utility jeepneys have only until November 30 to claim their Pantawid Pasada fuel smart cards as these will no longer be distributed after that date.

In a statement issued Thursday, the Department of Energy (DOE) said failure to claim the Pantawid Pasada cards by the end of the month would “presume a waiver of their claims to the cards and enjoyment of the corresponding entitlements.’’

Franchise holders in the National Capital Region can claim their cards at the DOE office within Fort Bonifacio, while those in the provinces can do so at Land Transportation Office (LTO) regional and district offices.

Those who wish to claim their cards should bring the original and a photocopy of the current Confirmation Certificate from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board.

If this document were not available, beneficiaries should bring a photocopy of the following documents: Certificate of Public Convenience (decision/order), official receipt of LTO registration valid from April 2010 to March 2011, and certificate of vehicle registration, and at least one government-issued photo identification card.

Authorized representatives can also claim the cards on behalf of qualified beneficiaries, provided that they have all the required documents and a signed authorization letter.
