Hunt on for 2 robbers who shot victim in San Juan
The Eastern Police District (EPD) is hunting down two suspects in the robbery that left a delivery man wounded in San Juan City on Thursday morning.
An EPD report said Joemil Jaos, who works for Procter & Gamble, was shot twice in the face by one of the two motorcycle-riding men who approached him as he was returning to his parked Nissan Urvan on San Gabriel Street, Barangay San Perfecto, around 11 a.m. on Jan. 11.
Jaos was then in the area to deliver some products to a store. The robbers sped off with the victim’s shoulder bag containing P400 in cash as well as ATM and ID cards.
According to the EPD, Jaos and an eyewitness to the robbery have recognized one of the robbers when shown photos of crime suspects.
A manhunt is ongoing against Marcelo Tampoco Onate Jr., who has a pending arrest warrant issued by the Pasig City Regional Trial Court for an earlier robbery case. —Jodee A. Agoncillo
