CITY OF MALOLOS – Five drug suspects were killed while 95 others were arrested during simultaneous anti-illegal drug operations of Bulacan police from January 10 to 11.
Police identified the slain suspects as alias Popeye, and Arwin Dave Martin, alias Daboy, of San Jose del Monte City; Sonny Pablo, alias Sonny Boy, of Malolos City; Rommel Mercado, alias Nog-Nog, of Santa Maria town; and Christian Abarquez, of Calumpit town.
Bulacan Police Director Sr. Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr. said the suspects were killed as they fought back with policemen who either conducted buy-bust operations or served search warrants and warrants of arrests.
The Bulacan police carried out on Wednesday and Thursday at least 50 anti-illegal drug operations, which led to the confiscation of 170.949 grams of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) and 21.86 grams of marijuana; as well as nine firearms and one hand grenade. /kga
