Pagasa: Heavy rain likely over Camarines, Catanduanes

Bicol region, Eastern Visayas and the province of Quezon would experience cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms due to a tail-end of a cold front, the state weather bureau said on Friday.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration advised residents in Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes to take precautionary measures against floods in low-lying areas and landslides due to the light to occasionally heavy rain that is forecast to occur in these areas.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain over Cordillera region, Cagayan Valley, and the province of Aurora, according to Pagasa.

The northeast monsoon would also likely make Metro Manila, Ilocos region and the rest of Central Luzon and Calabarzon experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain this Friday.

On the other hand, the state weather agency said, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain due to localized thunderstorms is forecast over Mindanao, the rest of Visayas, and Mimaropa region.  /kga
