LPG trader, 2 others dead in assassination

TAGUM CITY—A businessman and two others were killed in an ambush by unknown gunmen in New Corella town, Davao del Norte province, on Wednesday.

Police said Rohel Gozon, 33; Arturo Gozon Cordita Jr., 27; and Carlos Abad, age unknown, were riding in a sports utility vehicle when attacked around 11 p.m. by motorcycle-riding gunmen in the village of Poblacion, New Corella.

Witnesses saw at least three persons flee after the attack, police said. Gozon was a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) trader. —FRINSTON LIM
