The Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line 1 has extended its operating hours amid the Traslacion procession of the annual Feast of the Black Nazarene.

In an advisory on Tuesday evening, the Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) said LRT Line 1 trips would continue until 11:00 p.m. from Roosevelt Station to Baclaran Station.
The transit line regularly operates from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on weekdays.

Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa said the Traslacion has gone faster by two hours than last year and is expected to end before midnight.
As of 6 p.m., the Plaza Miranda Police Community Precinct estimated that about 4.55 million devotees had flocked to Quiapo – 2.6 million of which joined the procession. /je
