About 350,000 devotees have flocked to Quiapo Church in Manila to wait for the return of the icon of the Black Nazarene from the Traslacion procession, the Plaza Miranda Police said on Tuesday.

The carriage of the Black Nazarene had left the Quirino Grandstand around 5 a.m. and successfully traversed Jones Bridge in Binondo Manila at 12:02 p.m.

Church officials expressed hope last Jan. 3 to finish the whole procession in just a span of 12 hours. /jpv
