Partly cloudy to cloudy skies will hang over the millions of devotees of the Black Nazarene expected to flock to the Traslacion in Manila Tuesday.
The clouds with isolated rainshowers will prevail over Metro Manila and most of the archipelago, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 4 a.m. bulletin.
Localized thunderstorms may bring light to moderate and at time heavy rain over the metropolis and may cause flashfloods and landslides in some areas, Pagasa said.
Over the Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands, the northeast monsoon or amihan will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain.
Meanwhile, the amihan will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain over the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, parts of Cagayan Valley and Central Luzon.
Along the eastern part of the country, cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected over the provinces of Aurora and Quezon and the regions of Bicol, Davao, Caraga and Soccsksargen due to the easterlies. Pagasa is warning of possible flashfloods and landslides in these places. /cbb
