MANILA, Philippines —Armed men hijacked a cargo truck carrying about P320,000 worth of flour in San Jose, Batangas Wednesday, Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said Thursday.

An Isuzu Forward truck,  carrying 350 sacks of flour, was traversing the National Road in Sto. Cristo village in San Jose town when it was flagged down and hijacked by armed men on board a red van at around 10 p.m., Cruz said.

The suspects dumped truck driver Reyniel Munoz in Balayan town in Batangas, he said.

A flash alarm was raised to intercept the truck, added the PNP spokesman.
