Knee- to waist-deep waters turned Lamdagan Street in Barangay Cogon, Tagbilaran City into a lake.

Only big vehicles were successful in crossing the inundated streets. However, a multicab drove into the flood waters but conked out in the middle of the road.

The driver had to wait at least two hours until the flood subsided.

Some commuters were also stranded due to flood waters.

In Clarin town, the knee-deep flood caused traffic for those going to Tubigon town.

Mendelssohn Cloribel Gallares, 40, a resident of Calape town, told Inquirer that his family were stuck in traffic for almost 20 minutes in Clarin town.

The heavy rains that caused flooding in some parts of Bohol were due to thunderstorms affecting the province of Bohol, said a Facebook post of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration. /jpv
