Siargao Island takes direct hit from ‘Agaton’

DAVAO CITY – Tropical depression “Agaton” made landfall over Siargao Island in the Caraga Region at about 2 a.m. Tuesday.

No reports of casualties or damages were made available as the storm moved west over Socorro, Surigao del Norte, at a speed of 55 kilometers per hour.

The Davao Region’s skies were cloudy but generally calm. /cbb
