Sidewalk vendor arrested for selling gun replicas in Mandaluyong

Police arrested a vendor on Sunday, New Year’s Eve, for selling replicas of firearms on a sidewalk in Mandaluyong City.

Rashid Hushop Jr., 37,was arrested at 6:30 p.m. by the Eastern Police District (EPD) Mobile Force for peddling 93 pieces of assorted firearm replicas in Barangay Plainview, according to a police spot report.

In a related development, a day before, the Mandaluyong City government issued City Ordinance No. 673, series 2017, imposing a total ban of firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices in the city. /atm
