Palace wants full probe into Mandaluyong shooting mishap

The government will fully investigate the shooting incident involving policemen in Mandaluyong City that left at least two people dead, Malacañang said Friday.

“(This) matter will be investigated fully even if there appears to be excessive force utilized by police authorities,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a statement.

“It’s also proper that policemen involved have been disarmed and their movements restricted,” he added.

The car was said to be transporting to a hospital an injured woman who had been shot when policemen opened fire thinking it was the one involved in the shooting. /jpv
