Three weather systems will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms to the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Thursday.
According to its 4 a.m. bulletin, the tail-end of a cold front will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms to CALABARZON, the Bicol Region, the Visayas, and the provinces of Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.
The weather bureau warned the public in these areas of the possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rain.
Metro Manila, the Cagayan Valley Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and Central Luzon meanwhile will have cloudy skies with scattered rain caused by the northeast monsoon or amihan.
The amihan will also bring a partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain over the Ilocos
Region.
In Mindanao, particularly the Caraga, Northern Mindanao and the Davao Region, will be affected by the easterlies — warm air blowing from the Pacific Ocean — that will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.
The rest Mindanao and Palawan will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers caused by localized thunderstorms.
Pagasa also advised the public in Mindanao and Palawan for possible flash floods and landslides. /cbb
