A Danish drug dealer thought he got an easy getaway while carrying a huge pack of cannabis with him, until he got arrested due to his own little mistake.
Danish news outlet The Local reported on Friday that the man, who was in the enclave of Christiania, had with him 1,000 joints of the illegal substance, when he got into a police car after confusing it for a taxi cab.
Local police posted about the incident through their Twitter page, saying that they were “happy” about the incident.
“Last night a cannabis dealer from Christiania who wanted to get home quickly got into a taxi. He received a big surprise when he realised it was actually a police car he was sitting in,” the tweet read. “The police officers were happy to see him, since he was carrying around 1,000 joints.”

Authorities regularly conduct raids in the alternative enclave, in an effort to restrict the cannabis trade there, which was originally established by hippie squatters in 1971, the report said. Katrina Hallare/JB
