According to the 2017 Gender Statistics on Labor and Employment published by the Philippine Statistics Authority, there were at least 17.5 million Filipinos who completed either college or higher learning degrees in 2016. Of this figure, 7.8 million were males and 9.7 million were females. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
