Pagasa: ‘Urduja’ leaves PAR
Tropical Depression Urduja (international name Kai-tak) has made its way out of the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), the state weather bureau said midday Tuesday.
But the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration warned that sea travel remained risky over the western seaboard of Palawan due to the surge of northeast monsoon.
Urduja was last spotted 430 kilometers west of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
The tropical cyclone made six landfalls during its stay within the PAR, with Eastern Visayas bearing the brunt of Urduja. /jpv
