Domestic flights cancelled as ‘Urduja’ roars over Palawan

Flights to and from El Nido in Palawan were suspended Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, due to bad weather spawned by tropical depression ‘Urduja.’

At least four domestic flights were cancelled flights on Monday due to inclement weather brought by tropical depression “Urduja,” airport authorities said.

As of 7 a.m. the Manila International Airport Authority (Miaa) announced the following cancelled flights:

Urduja maintained its strength with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness up to 5 kph.

It was last spotted at 195 kilometers east-northeast of Puerto Princesa City. /cbb
