Drug suspect flees during raid, nabbed at airport

KORONADAL CITY—A 21-year-old drug suspect who eluded arrest during a raid on his home was arrested by police at General Santos City Airport.

Valente Cariño, regional director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), said PDEA agents raided the house of suspect Felixberto Perbillo III, alias “Moi-Moi,” in this city and seized “shabu” (crystal meth) and marijuana leaves worth at least P2,500.

But Perbillo had fled before police came.

After his arrest at General Santos City Airport, Perbillo was detained at the PDEA office in the same city pending filing of charges. —Edwin Fernandez
