TUGUEGARAO CITY—Three police officers were killed while three others were injured when their patrol car collided with a ten-wheeler truck on Friday night (Dec. 15) along the national road at Iguig town in Cagayan province.
Iguig police investigator Police Officer 2 Anthony Pamittan identified the fatalities as PO1 Benjiekate Porcen, PO1
Charlo Catkiong and PO1 Teddy Balangue, all of the Apayao Police Mobile Force Company based in Luna, Apayao.
Three other police survived but are being treated for various injuries, one of them reported to be in critical condition at the Cagayan Valley Medical Center. Their names have not been released at press time.
The police officers were on their way home to Apayao after accompanying their colleague undergo a CT scan due to a previous injury.
