About 1,200 Metro Rail Transit (MRT) passengers were offloaded from a southbound train on Friday evening after an electrical failure.

According to a service report, the train stopped at the GMA Kamuning Station at 6:58 p.m. MRT personnel removed the train for maintenance and deployed another to accommodate the offloaded passengers.

This is the second time this week that a southbound train unloaded passengers at GMA Kamuning Station due to an electrical failure.

This is also the 17th recorded glitch in the MRT’s operations in December.

There have only been five days this month that the congested railway transit did not suffer a glitch: Dec. 1, 4, 5, 11, and 13.
