The Manila Broadcasting Company has announced the semifinalists for the MBC National Choral Competition to be held at Star Theater beginning December 5.
Competing in the children’s choir category are Koro del Pilar, Malolos National High School; Baao Children’s Choir; Voices of the South, Davao; Surallah Parish Children’s Choir; Muntinlupa Science High School; Munting Tinig, General Santos City; San Nicolas Elementary School, Basak, Cebu; Pilgrim Christian College Twinklers, Cagayan de Oro City; Laoag City Children’s Choir; Coro Angelitos, Tondo; Milaor Central Elementary School; San Carlos City Children’s Choir; Commonwealth Elementary School; Pasig Catholic College; Himig Bulilit, St. Paul College Parañaque; and Quezon City Performing Arts Foundation Children’s Choir.
Among others vying for the top prize in the open category are St. Mary’s University, Nueva Vizcaya; Manila Youth Choir; Kalibnusan Chorale, Philippine Normal University-Alicia, Isabela; Kinaadman Chorale, John B. Lacson Maritime Foundation University, Iloilo; Bel Canto Ensemble and Aquinas University Chorale, Legaspi City.
