Two soldiers were killed and eight were wounded in a vehicular accident in Cotabato City on Monday morning, the military said.

A KM450 truck was traversing Antipas-Arakan Road when it fell off a cliff past 9 a.m. at Crossing Bulwang Spring, Sitio Lukeke in Barangay Malatab, said Lt. Silver Belvis, civil military operations officer of the Army’s 39th Infantry Battalion.

The driver lost control of the vehicle in a bid to save a child who suddenly crossed the road.

“The vehicle overturned and fell 10 feet at the left side of the road,” Belvis said.
