LUCENA CITY — Police and foreign nationals residing in Quezon have sealed a partnership on maintaining peace and order in the province.
The union, dubbed “Foreign Nationalities Keepers Network” (FNKN), was a brainchild of Senior Supt. Rhoderick Armamento, Quezon provincial police director.
The initial meeting of the group, which was attended by at least 30 foreigners, was held at the Quezon police headquarters in Camp Nakar last week.
Armamento said the project primarily sought to assure the foreigners that the provincial police force was ready to protect them.
More than 70 foreign nationals from different parts of the province have registered, through local police stations, their participation in FNKN.
