A four-year-old child died after falling from the 39th floor condominium building of the Two Serendra just in front of SM Aura Premier in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, on Saturday.

Police investigators said the incident happened at about 12:05 p.m.

In a spot report, the Southern Police District (SPD) confirmed that the victim was rushed to the St. Luke’s Medical Center for treatment but was declared dead on arrival.

An eyewitness, Reinna Athena Grace Obligar, told INQUIRER.net that after falling from the 39th floor, the child’s body landed on the canopy of a terrace on the second floor of the building.

Athena said she and other onlookers were shocked upon seeing the child, who was not moving while hanging on a second floor canopy.

Maintenance personnel of the condominium recovered the body using a ladder.

Obligar also posted a video on Facebook showing Two Serendra maintenance personnel trying to retrieve the child’s body.

“Nakasabit po ang bata, lupaypay ang katawan, naka-bend (The child was hanging, body looking miserable and bent),” Obligar told INQUIRER.net.

“Kita rin po may dugo na tumulo sa may binti ng bata (The blood dripping from the child’s leg was also visible),” she said.

Investigators are still interviewing several concerned individuals to determine the circumstances prior to the incident. /jpv
