The Department of Education (DepEd) will launch next week its three-day special “Brigada Eskwela” that aims to start the rebuilding of schools damaged in the five-month terrorist siege of Marawi City.
Education Secretary Leonor Briones will lead on Dec. 13 to 15 Brigada Eskwela in the city, where 22 schools were totally destroyed and another 40 suffered major damages.
A total of around 27,000 students were displaced by the siege in May. These students are now enrolled in various schools nationwide.
