QC court orders release of San Mateo after posting bail

The Quezon City metropolitan trial court Branch 43 ordered the release of George San Mateo, leader of the transport group Pinagkaisang Samahan ng Tsuper at Operator Nationwide (Piston) on Tuesday after posting a bail of P4,000.
San Mateo was earlier arrested by the elements of the QC Police District for violating Section 20 of the Commonwealth Act No. 146, or the Public Service Act, in relation to the transport strikes he led earlier this year.
Acting Executive Judge Joel Lopena signed the bail and set the arraignment and pre-trial of San Mateo’s case on Jan. 24, 2018. /jpv
