Some P4 million worth of illegal drugs was recovered by combined elements of Naval Forces Western Mindanao (Navforwem) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Zamboanga City last Saturday.
Authorities recovered 20 sachets of 50 grams of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with an estimated value of P4 million at La Casa Maria Parking Lot, Sta. Maria road, said Navforwem in a statement issued on Monday.
They also recovered one pickup vehicle and a motorcycle, plus the sting money amounting to P1.5 million.
Authorities also arrested five drug leaders and spotters identified as Ryan Rajan Quijano, Sahari Addalani Sabturani, Hasi Waliyul, Kizzle Rajan Tungupon, and Albajir Sanny.
Addalani is said to be a member of the Kubal Drug Group and included in PDEA’s so-called target list in Region 10.
“The successful conduct of drug buy-bust operation was due to the strong information gathering and intelligence operations of the Navy, Joint Task Force Zamboanga and other government agencies,” the Navforwem said. /kga
