A magnitude 4.3 earthquake hit Davao Occidental early Monday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
According to the agency’s bulletin, the earthquake struck 6:26 a.m. east of Jose Abad Santos in Davao Occidental.
Phivolcs said the origin of the quake, which has a depth of 147 kilometers, was tectonic.
No aftershocks were expected as there was neither casualty nor property damage reported due to the tremor. /kga
