Dec. 5
Dagupan City Fiesta
The annual fiesta in Dagupan City, Pangasinan province, kicks off with an opening parade and the lighting of Christmas tree in the city plaza. Other festivities include a street dancing competition that will be joined by at least 14 contingents from private and public high schools and a drum and lyre contest.

Inagta Festival
Article continues after this advertisementLocals look back at the victory of the Agta indigenous group over the Moros, who invaded their community in the hinterlands of Siaton, Negros Oriental province. The Agtas won with the supposed intercession of St. Nicholas of Bari, who would become the town’s patron saint. “Inagta,” which came from the name “Agta,” is a native folk dance in honor of their patron saint.

Kusina Ilocandia
A food festival in San Fernando City, La Union province, featuring a culinary competition among hotel and restaurant management students to promote and develop the Ilocano cuisine. A culinary quiz and a skills competition are also held.
