Three weather systems affecting the country would bring overcast skies and rain or thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Friday.
According to the state weather bureau’s bulletin, the northeast monsoon over extreme Northern Luzon would make Batanes and Babuyan Group of Island experience cloudy skies with light rains.
Meanwhile, Pagasa said the tail-end of a cold front affecting the eastern section of Northern Luzon would bring cloudy skies with scattered rains or thunderstorms over Cagayan province.
On the other hand, the easterlies – or the warm winds blowing from the east – are influencing the weather over the eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon as well as the Visayas.
This weather system would bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Eastern Visayas, Bicol region, and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon.
Pagasa said Metro Manila and the rest of the country would experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms especially over the eastern section. /kga
