Three weather systems affecting the country would bring overcast skies and rain or thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Friday.

According to the state weather bureau’s bulletin, the northeast monsoon over extreme Northern Luzon would make Batanes and Babuyan Group of Island experience cloudy skies with light rains.

Meanwhile, Pagasa said the tail-end of a cold front affecting the eastern section of Northern Luzon would bring cloudy skies with scattered rains or thunderstorms over Cagayan province.

On the other hand, the easterlies – or the warm winds blowing from the east – are influencing the weather over the eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon as well as the Visayas.
