Abu Sayyaf bomber with P1.3-M bounty arrested in Basilan

An Abu Sayyaf member with a P1.3 million bounty on his head was arrested by authorities in Basilan, the military said Thursday.

Rahim Abdul alias Aman Kabalu, was apprehended last Tuesday at Zone 1, Brgy. Kampurnah, Isabela City past 3 p.m., the Western Mindanao Command said.

Authorities also recovered a fragmentation grenade from Abdul.

“He was positively identified by a civilian, leading to his arrest without his resistance,” said Brig. Gen. Juvymax Uy, commander of Joint Task Force Basilan.

The suspect was later brought to the Basilan Provincial Police Office.

Abdul is under the Department of National Defense/ Department of Interior and Local Government Joint Order of Rewards with a bounty of P1.3 million. /je
