Metro Manila and the regions of Cordillera, Calabarzon, Bicol and the provinces of Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino are likely to experience cloudy skies and thunderstorms due to a tail end of a cold front, the state weather bureau said on Thursday.
A tail end of a cold front is the merging of cool and warm winds, explained weather forecaster Aldczar Aurelio, of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon or “hanging amihan” would bring cloudy skies with light rains over Ilocos region, Batanes, and Babuyan Group of Islands.
Pagasa said the rest of the country would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms especially over the eastern section.
Aurelio said there was also no potential storm in the country. /kga
