Senate unanimously approves P3.767-T nat’l budget on final reading

The Senate unanimously approved on third and final reading on  Wednesday the proposed P3.767-trillion national budget for 2018.

All 16 senators present in the session voted to approve the budget bill.

The approval by the chamber came two months after the  budget  bill was passed  by the House of Representatives in September.

The two chambers will  then convene a bicameral conference  committee to iron out their  own versions of the measure.

A bicameral report will be sent back to the Senate and the House  for ratification before  transmitting to Malacañang for President Rodrigo Duterte’s signature.
