Senate OKs proposed P3.767-T nat’l budget for 2018 on second reading

The  Senate has  approved  on second reading  the proposed P3.767-trillion national budget for 2018.

The approval by the chamber on Wednesday came  two months after the  budget  bill was approved  by the House of Representatives.

The chamber will vote next to approve the  national budget on third and final reading.

Once approved,  bot chambers will convene a bicameral conference  committee to iron out their  own versions of the measure.

A bicameral report will be sent back to the Senate and the House  for ratification before  transmitting to Malacanang for President Rodrigo Duterte’s signature.
