DID YOU KNOW: DOH notes 1,515 leptospirosis cases from Jan. 1 to Sept. 30

A total of 1,515 leptospirosis cases were reported nationwide from Jan. 1 to Sept. 30, according to  latest data from the Department of Health.

This figure is 41.2 percent higher than the 1,073 cases recorded during the same period last year.

There have been 163 deaths due to leptospirosis nationwide from January to September this year. —Marielle Medina
