The northeast Monsoon or “hanging amihan” would bring isolated rains over parts of Northern Luzon while an intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) would affect parts of Mindanao, the weather bureau’s Tuesday forecast stated.

The Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due amihan, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 4:00 a.m. bulletin.

Meanwhile, due to the ITCZ, the CARAGA and Davao Region would experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers because of localized thunderstorms, Pagasa added.    /kga
