Eleven males, including professionals such as a doctor and an engineer, were arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during a sexual orgy-cum-illegal drugs session at an upscale hotel in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig.

PDEA agents found the men wearing only their underwear and in the middle of a drug session when they entered Unit 609 of Seda Hotel on 11th Avenue of BGC in Taguig City at 10 a.m. last Sunday, November 26.

PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino said they were operating against model Edmond Remegio, and model-singer Pedrito Coronel Jr., alias Malik, both 33. The two were allegedly supplying party drugs to bar-goers and celebrities in BGC. Both were arrested during the operation.

The two and nine others were presented to reporters on Monday night at PDEA headquarters in Quezon City, where they are currently detained.

Aquino said among the suspects were professionals identified as Carlo Kasala, a 25-year-old physician, and Jose Carlo Torres, a 38-year-old engineer.

Also arrested were Bryan Dizon, 20, software developer; Jevel Ucero, 22, student; Aclan Manalo, 27, makeup artist; Legui Brylle Gonzles, 28, account manager; Angelo Padasas, 28, an office staff; and Jake Tolentino, 33, and Manuel Valdes, 34, both insurance personnel.

Seized during the raid were P387,000 worth of illegal drugs including 40 tablets of ecstacy, two sachets of suspected crystal meth, and 14 bottles of gamma hydroxybutyrate or GHB weighing 1 liter.

Aquino explained that GHB, more known as “liquid ecstacy,” “G,” or “water,” is a drug used by young people at bars and rave parties and often mixed with alcoholic drinks.

Reported effects of GHB use are euphoria, increased sex drive, and tranquility.

Aquino said the group was planning to do PNP, or “party and play,” and ChemRom or “chemical romance” – party lingos which mean using a combination of drugs to spike sexual satisfaction.

PDEA officials said one of the suspects tested positive for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). They are still checking if the others had been infected as used syringes were also confiscated.

Remegio and Coronel would be charged for violation of Section 5 (drug sale) in relation to Section 26 (conspiracy to sell), Section 11 (drug possession) and Section 12 (possession of drug paraphernalia) of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. The nine others would be charged for violating Section 15 or use of illegal drugs of the same law.                    /kga
