Metro Manila accounted for 16.8 percent or 16,359 dengue cases out of the 97,287 cases reported nationwide from Jan. 1 to Sept. 30 this year, according to the Department of Health.
The region recorded the highest number of cases during the period, followed by Central Luzon with 15 percent or 14, 625 cases.
Latest DOH data also showed 108 recorded deaths due to dengue in Metro Manila during the period.
