Three weather systems, which would bring scattered rains and thunderstorms, would affect most parts of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Tuesday.

A tail-end of a cold front would cause cloudy skies and scattered rains and thunderstorms over Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon.

The northeast monsoon would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Batanes and Babuyan Islands.

As a trough of a low pressure area (LPA) would cast cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Mindanao.

Meanwhile, Pagasa said Metro Manila and the rest of the country would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers.

The state weather bureau likewise said that coastal waters would be moderate to rough in Luzon, while it would be slight to moderate in Visayas and Mindanao.        /kga
